Tell City Leaders to Invest in Safer Streets

🚨 Our Streets Are Broken, But We Can Fix Them

Our streets are unacceptably dangerous, and traffic violence is so commonplace that we’ve started to accept it as normal. We can do better.

Projects like traffic calming and protected bike lanes are proven tools for making streets safer, but they require sustained local investment, especially as state and federal funding for these projects dries up.

💪 Here's How to Help

🔊 Attend the budget workshop on Thursday, 9/3/2026

The St. Petersburg City Council will hold the first of two budget workshops for the next fiscal year this Thursday, September 3. Join us at 6 p.m. at City Hall and ask City Council to increase funding for road safety projects.

Speaking at a public meeting can feel intimidating, but it’s one of the most effective ways to make your voice heard. You don’t need to be an expert or give a long speech. Simply sharing why safer streets matter to you can make a real difference.

✉️ If you can’t attend, email City leaders

Use the link below to send an email asking City leaders to prioritize road safety projects in next year’s budget.

When residents stand up together, decision-makers listen. Your voice helps ensure our transit system supports everyone, today and into the future.
